  • AUGUST 2012: SEATTLE PRINT ARTS

I made a short trip up to Seattle this August to present work in progress resulting from my proposal for THE LARRY SOMMERS FELLOWSHIP last year through Seattle Print Arts. The people from Seattle Print Arts, as well as the people from SEIU Labor Union to which Larry Sommers was a member, were some of the warmest and most genuine people one could expect to meet at any given art event. It was my first presentation in front of an audience, so it was the best possible scenario I could have hoped for. Thanks again Seattle Print Arts, and SEIU Labor Union!

  • SEPT. 2011: FELLOWSHIP MERIT HONORARIUM

Earlier this year I applied for the Larry Sommer's Grant at Seattle Print Arts...While I did not receive the actual grant, Seattle Print Arts Larry Sommer's Grant committee was enthusiastic enough about my work that they awarded me a $500.00 Honorarium to encourage my further work. Thank you Seattle Print Arts!

Recently I entered my drawing FLOTSAM into a juried show via Heavybubble (another web hosting site)...I was selected as 1 of 13 finalists nation wide!!! Unfortunately, due to prolonged illness I was unable to frame and ship my piece to Philly in time for the final judging!!! I was really bummed, but such is the luck of the draw, fate, what have you...c'est la vie....

  • MARCH-MAY 2011: FLOAT ON CREATIONS

I recently turned in a piece for a book for FLOAT ON, a local sensory deprivation tank location. Where you can float in a high saline tank in total darkness...totally sound proof...it was a really memorable experience!!!
They are publishing a book of art created by artists specifically inspired by time spent in their tanks...in return for free float time.
