John Shlichta's return to the Olympia, Washington area- “land of his second childhood” - follows having fled the beautiful and endlessly winding roads of Mendocino County, California, the overload of hipness in Portland, the rat-race that is New York City, and the need for vitamin D while in Seattle. He grew up in the Los Angeles harbor town of San Pedro, California, where the influence of his large and wacked family, allowed him to cultivate a love of all things abstract, overlooked, abandoned and forgotten.
